Here I tell stories of motherhood, the development of play and language in my child, Amie, our crafting and puzzling activities, weighing educational options, and so on.
I also tell stories about my worries, especially ecological and social, for Amie’s and all our children’s future, about the various ways I try to make a difference, here and now, and about the ups and downs of my careful optimism.
Lately (at the time of writing), since we have moved to our new semi-rural home, I have also started reporting on the wildlife around our bird feeder.
My stories are told from my point of view and (so far as I can approach it) that of Amie, but I hope that they are recognizable and relevant to most parents and caregivers.
Additionally, the anecdotal journal entries are complemented by more journalistic articles presenting systematic opinion and thorough research.
