Last session I simply made the same thing over and over again, modeled on a small drinking cup I had bought at a pottery studio on Cape Cod. It was good practice, of course, and instructive as well in that I could really see how pots shrink in the kiln. I’m not entirely happy with …

Daily Bread No.5 – 25 More To Go
This one was in the oven at the right temperature. It rose just a fraction more than the previous one which was baked at 300 F, instead of the 350 F required, and still came out pretty yummy. Don’t know how this one tastes yet, it’s still cooling down. It weighs a little over a …

Another Indian Summer Day
Today is warming up into the 60s, like yesterday, but yesterday I was cowering in the pit of the second round of this darned cold. Today I feel much better. I’m baking a second bread from the dough I made earlier, opening all the windows to air out the house, doing loads of laundry and …
A Transition Event! Here!
Enough of this vacillating and lamenting! I’ve placed a notice for a Meeting on the Transition US and Transition Massachusetts websites, and will send it to several sustainability and Permaculture Meetup groups I know of. I’ve got one speaker already and plan to invite many more. Join us to discuss resilience and sustainability for our …
